Step by Step Instructions

  1. Complete the Online Delaware Notary Training Course (Not Required)
  2. Notaries public are appointed for either a term of two years ($60.00 fee) or a term of four years ($90.00 fee). New appointments may be for two years only.
  3. Complete the Notary Public Application online.

    NAME OF APPLICANT EXPLANATION

    When completing the name section, you must indicate your first, middle and last names. You may use one initial only for either your first name or your middle name. If, however, you prefer to use both names in full, it will be acceptable. What we wish to avoid is a name such as J. L. Jones. If you have neither a middle name nor an initial, please indicate on the name line: (NMN) Please sign the application at the bottom the same as it appears on the name line at the top of the Application form, and as you want your name to appear on your commission.

  4. PLEASE ALLOW 4 WEEKS FOR PROCESSING OF APPLICATION
